چکیده
This article investigates the discrepancy between theoretical and experimental optical characterisation results of a Fresnel Lens - silicon on glass (SOG), as primary component toward UHCPV >3000 suns design (Shanks et al., 2018). All equations were elaborated for single- multi-junction solar cells, emphasising performance when focal spot area is larger or lesser than cell area. simple prediction approach has shown strong agreement with 2% at 7.7 W (77 suns) 6% average cross irradiance from 3.1 to corresponding 31 – 77 in concentration ratio. A analysis 1/4 system grouping three interfaces performed estimate loss its influence efficiency

Fresnel-based Concentrated Photovoltaic (CPV) System with Uniform Irradiance
Different designs have been presented to achieve high concentration and uniformity for the concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) system. Most of the designs have issues of low efficiency in terms of irradiance uniformity. To this end, we present a design methodology to increase irradiance uniformity over solar cell. The system consists of an eight-fold Fresnel lens as a primary optical element (POE) ...
متن کاملDesign of the Secondary Optical Elements for Concentrated Photovoltaic Units with Fresnel Lenses
The goal of this presented study was to determine the optimum parameters of secondary optical elements (SOEs) for concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) units with flat Fresnel lenses. Three types of SOEs are under consideration in the design process, including kaleidoscope with equal optical path design (KOD), kaleidoscope with flat top surface (KFTS), and open-truncated tetrahedral pyramid with spec...

متن کاملMaterial Optimization for Concentrated Solar Photovoltaic and Thermal Co-generation
We conducted an analytic study of concentrated solar photovoltaic and hot water co-generation based on various solar cell technologies and micro channel heat sinks. By co-optimizing the electricity generation and heat transport in the system, one can minimize the cost of the key materials and compare different tradeoffs as a function of concentration ratio or other parameters. Concentrated sola...
